After picking up Miriam at the SLC airport we traveled into the wee morning hours to Rexburg. BYU-I has a beautiful new center and it was to be dedicated at 10:00 that morning. President Eyring had come to dedicate the building along with Elders Nelson and Bednar. It was wonderful! With the history that President Eyring and Elder Bednar have with the school, - it was touching to have them there.
The new BYU-Idaho Center is very similar to the Conference Center in SLC. The auditorium can hold 15,000. It has classrooms and a large gym with 10 full size basketball courts -with a terrace above them that is a 1/5 mile track.
It is all very functional - and will serve the school for many to years to come. It is neat that Jessica was in the first graduation held there- The building was begun her freshman year and she had lived thru the construction the whole time she has been at BYU-I
After long naps--- We attended a lovely graduation banquet. Elder Johnson- The Church Education Commissioner and Elder Marlin K. Jensen were there for the graduation and we enjoyed hearing from them at the banquet also. - That evening was Jessica's Education Department graduation. Her degree will be a Bachelors in Early Childhood/Special Ed. --- and will be awarded to her after her Student Teaching in Nampa next semester.
....Then the next morning was the large school wide commencement in the new building. It is a great feeling to be the parents of the Grad! 
It has been a great "Parents - Pay Day" Weekend!
