We had a great weekend but I'm tired, so get ready for lots of pictures and few words. :)
Every year Taylor, AZ has a big patriotic celebration complete with the best band ever and the "firing of the anvil." This year we finally got Grandpa and Grandma Crockett to come and experience it. Grandpa even got to light the anvil himself!

It was fun to have Grandma Katy and get her picture with our famous drum. This is the drum that was given to Cyrus Jennings by Major Edward Duzette. For most of the year is stays locked up in the Taylor Museum, but every 4th of July it joins the celebration with the Jennings Band.
The heads have been replaced, but this is still the original shell.
It was Kate's first time on the band trailer. She did great!
One of the highlights was to have Grandpa Crockett join this great group of men in singing Grandfather Shumway's arrangement of "I love you Arizona." They sounded great.

It was a fast trip, but we enjoyed it, as always. Next year come and visit!
